1425, France. During the Hundred Years' War, the young Jeannette, yet only eight years old, cares after her sheep in the small village of Domremy. She tells her companion Hauviette one day that she can't stand seeing the agony inflicted by the English. Madame Gervaise, a nun, tries to persuade the young girl to take up arms for the saving of souls and the liberation of the Kingdom of France. She will become Joan of Arc, carried by her faith.
