Strangled

This psycho-thriller is based on true events and takes place in 1960s provincial Hungary, when a series of atrocious murders shock the small town of Martfü. A psychotic killer is on the loose, murdering young women while an innocent man is wrongfully accused and sentenced for crimes he could never have committed. When a determined detective arrives on the scene, he quickly becomes obsessed with the case, despite the prosecutor's pressure to have a man hanged. Stuck in the suffocating social, political, and psychological world of socialist Hungary, we soon become entangled in a web of intricate conspiracy and disturbing drama.
