The Climax
Dr. Hohner (Karloff), a theatre physician at Vienna's Royal Theatre, murders his mistress, a star soprano, when jealousy drives him insane. Ten years later, Hohner is reminded of the late diva by another young singer (Foster), and his old mania returns. Hohner wants her to stop singing for anyone other than him, even if it means permanently silenced. In the final scene of the film, the singer's fiancée (Bey) rushes to her aid.
