Van Gogh

In late spring of 1890, Vincent goes to live with Dr. Gachet in a modest inn in Auvers-sur-Oise, a suburb of Paris. Only 70 days later, Vincent takes his own life by shooting himself in the head. We observe Vincent at his easel, working on portraits and landscapes. Auvers gets a visit from his brother Theo, his wife Johanna, and their newborn son. Vincent's wit and charm attract a number of women, including Gachet's daughter Marguerite (who is half his age), a young inn maid, a Parisian prostitute named Cathy, and an innkeeper named Johanna. Shortly before his death, Vincent travels to Paris, where he has a falling out with Theo, criticizes his own work, dances in a brothel, and displays both warm and chilly feelings toward his girlfriend, Marguerite.
