In 1960s London, barrister Melville Farr is on the way to success. Farr's career and life are nearly idyllic with his practice winning cases and also a loving marriage with his wife. However, when blackmailers connect Farr to some young gay man, every thing Farr has worked for is threatened. Farr can be a gay -- which is problematic, thanks to Britain's anti-sodomy legislation as it turns out. But rather than committing, Farr decides to fight.
