Convoy

Convoy can be actually really a American television series set during World War II which seemed on NBC 1966 television season. The series starred John Gavin as Commander Dan Talbot of this US Navy destroyer escort"DD181" along with John Larch as civilian retailer Captain Ben Foster of this freight ship"Flagship", that were included with the convoy ships and their escorts which help to transport food, supplies and war materials across the Atlantic throughout the Battle of the Atlantic. The series also featured Linden Chiles as Steve Kirk and James T. Callahan, formerly of ABC's Wendy and Me Sit-com, at the role of Lieutenant O'Connell. Stars were Jeremy Slate, Jack Palance, Barbara Rush, James Doohan, Leslie Nielsen, Horst Ebersberg, Harold Gould, along with Dennis Hopper. Convoy was one of those NBC series in grayscale. Using stock footage left color hopeless. As a result, several NBC affiliates refused to clean the program, which failed to scale outside of their'bottom 10' from the Nielsen ratings. This program premiered on September 17, 1965, and the last episode aired on December 10.
