Lexx
Science fiction television series Lexx features a group of mismatched individuals aboard the Lexx biological spacecraft. They journey through two parallel universes, stopping at several worlds, one of which is a satire of our own. In addition to funding from Channel 5, the series is a joint production between Canada and Germany. Salter Street Films sold the series to Sci Fi Channel and began showing Season 2 episodes in the United States in January 2000. When Salter Street Films was taken over by Alliance Atlantis in 2005, Lexx was co-produced with them. The Alliance Atlantis-owned Showcase network carried Lexx in Canada. Aside from Halifax and Berlin, the show was also shot in Iceland, Bangkok, and Namibia as well as other locations.
