The Dead Zone
The Dead Zone Stephen King's Dead Zone was an science fiction/suspense series starring Anthony Michael Hall as Johnny Smith, who finds he has developed psychic abilities following having a coma. The show, imputed as"based on characters" in Stephen King's 1979 novel of the identical name, first aired in 2002, and was produced by Lionsgate Television and CBS Paramount Network Television for its USA Network.
The show was commissioned for UPN, but the system after dropped the show and it was picked up instead by USA. The series was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada because of its first five seasons. The sixth and last season was billed as"The season that affects everything" and production was transferred to Montreal.
The deadzone was likely to be revived for a seventh season, but in December 2007 the series has been canceled due to low ratings and higher production cost , without a series finale.
A few rumors spread that Syfy would pick up the string when it was canceled by USA, but it didn't happen. Rumors of a made-for-TV-movie have faded eventually.
